The Victorian Government has announced it will reopen its skilled visa nomination program for the 2026–27 program year on 26 October 2026.

As in previous years, candidates will need to submit a Registration of Interest (ROI) with Victoria, in addition to their Expression of Interest (EOI) in SkillSelect.

New Victoria skilled visa nomination fees for 2026–27

Victoria has also announced the following fees for the 2026–27 program:

  • Registration of Interest: $60 ($66 including GST)

  • Subclass 190 nomination application: $180 ($198 including GST)

  • Subclass 491 nomination application: $180 ($198 including GST)

GST of 10% applies if the applicant is in Australia at the time of payment. The nomination application fee is only payable if the candidate is invited to apply for nomination and submits an application.

The ROI fee is charged once per program year. Candidates who withdraw and submit a new ROI within the same program year will not be charged again.

Priority sectors

Victoria will focus on priority sectors, with specific occupations available within each sector.

Victoria’s own points test

Victoria will now use its own points system to rank candidates and will issue invitations based on those points, rather than on their EOI points score. Candidates must still meet the Australian Government’s points test requirement for the visa itself.
